Nope, it just depends on the track daddy. Here Fridays are just heads up with a quick 16 on every other Friday and Sat is bracket only.

The quick 16 here is the fast'est 16 vehicle's of the night and they get to run bracket for the money. If you think you can make the field you just get inline during qualifing and hope your one of the lucky 16. If your in you go pay your due's and go racing for $300.

I've seen a field of high 4's to 8's run here.

Hey Scotty. The last time I was at a dragstrip was 1980, and then last October I took my VTR1000 to an all bike drag meet and the bug bit me really good, so watch out there!

Well ill have to confess to you Phil. i am going to pensylvania for a few weeks and when i get back my mechanic has a new cam chain and some drop ins that i will install. His son in law weighs 135 lbs and is an excellent driver. I will have him run the bike just to see if it is as quick as i think it is. Then back to the street for me.

I know that Scotty, I am 50 years old and my family is not thrilled at all about me racing again, so I may look for another rider (Owner) after this season for the dragbike. I'll never give up the street though. In fact, I am in the market to get a new Ninja 250 for commuting, but am having a hard time trying to figure out how to deal with these dealers. They want 1400 just for "dealers prep" charges. Hard to swallow for a 3000 dollar bike. Good luck in PA!

                      HEY

Not everyone is against you racing! Actually Im hoping your racing will allow me to gain some knowledge so I can spin down the track here in the Big D.

                        Hi Pat (my #1 son)!
I guess I should introduce you to this fine group here. How do you like your GS 850?

Good to see you made it here. I am usually just in the performace area, but you may find some of the other areas to your liking.

If you are serious about dragging, then come get my GS after this season is over. It's got your name on it!

yeah i was up till wee hours of the morning digging around the site. With that offer being out there I will more than likely take my gs850g and just clean it up a bit. New exhaust, seat (original is just too flat for me) and then a nice paint job.

Thanks for the Intro and the welcome. As for the 80 GS850G I'm loving it. Not sure that it is the commuter bike I was looking for but I know that ITS FUN TO RIDE!
