O/S Valves
I've tried different makes of valves but always wondered why the fave has a big dish ground out of it? Is this to conform to the combustion chamber shape >? It makes you lose compression right? There's 4 of them. Just bought kibble whites for another engine build, looked at the v and h valves all have this dish. WHY s my question, Is it required? Thanx MikeTags: None

It is a weight thing. Sometime back we had flat faced valves for some of the 600s and 750s to help with compression. That fad quickly faded because it was inpossible to do without the valves being too heavy.Speed Merchant
