Forged internals for gs650?
I am assuming the xn85 internals would work but it seems like a total crapshoot to find one... has anyone gone the forced induction route? I have searched the forum but haven't found much info other than the xn85 stuff... I'm thinking low boost 5-8 psi to avoid an intercooler. .. before I get harassed I know it's an uphill battle... I know it wouldn't be easy... just trying to feel out the possibility.... and yes you can run a turbo thru carbs but I'm kinda thinking itb's and megasquirtTags: None

The stock crank and rods are forged. Pistons are cast.Ed

Well that's a good start! So I just gotta find forged pistons... I see guys running nitrous so I figure I can pull off low boost without lifting the head

Yeah, you can blow a turbo through carbs, but you have to build a box to TOTALLY enclose them in the pressurized air.
It is MUCH easier to suck through a single carb and blow it into a multi-port manifold.
If that manifold happens to hold some injectors, even better.

Fabrication is my strong suit... I used to have a race prep shop for autox and forced induction cars. And went to a diesel mechanic school due to my boost addiction .. I'm ending my hiatus with 2 wheels so obviously that boost bug is biting at my heels at every turn... I have issues... not denying it...

Hey man welcome to the club. I think most of on here have to have some kind of issue to do what we do to these bikes. I think it sounds like an awesome project. I would defiantly follow it.
