What is the combustion chamber volume of the 1000 head? 1100 head?

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things. -

azr, that looks like a lot of fun! Attempting to have somewhat of a budget on this particular bike. For around $200 + gaskets, I picked up a 1100g top end w/carbs that had 4800 miles on it. Yes I'm sort of in the same comfort zone. I'll be doing lots of reading on here and finding a good machine shop to skim my 1100 cylinders.Rob

In retrospect, I believe it would have been easier to just rebore the GS 1000 cylinders to fit the 1085 Wiseco pistons...sigpicJohn Kat
