    GSX (GS16V) case mods

Here are some pics I "found" of some case mods for GSX(GS 16V) cases, to assist with oil control and hence power and longevity.
For those old hands I "found" these on Scott Horners site.

    What do you think?

Dink I have to admit I never did any of those mods. I turned the oil pickup around and several different tranny bearings according to the tranny. I would ask a lot of questions before I would drill that large of a hole in the cases. I do see where the other hole that is cleaned up may help to a small drgree.I ran GS based bikes for around 10 years. When I stopped we were in the low 7`s in a quarter. I also never ran a outside oiling line or 750 gear. Never any problems. I eliminated oil leaks by using specially milled cylinders to accept gsxr stud o rings. I did run a turbo though with low lift cams. I think with a very high lift cam maybe the gears and lines may be needed. I had more trouble with the inner clutch hub abd shift forks(3 speed) than anything. Getting that oil away from the crankshaft is good for HP numbers.
