    83 2V GS1100 pistons in a GS1000?

Will the pistons from an 83 2V GS1100 (L or G?) go into a 79 GS1000 motor with only a bore job? Specifically, will the 1000 wrist pins/rods have any compatibility problems with the 1100 pistons? There's a set of 1100 pistons on eBay right now and I'd like to stuff them into my 1000, if it isn't too much hassle.

Maybe you want to consider these?

Although I think you could shop arounf for a better price local. Your probably asking because the pistons your looking at are low cost.

I am afraid I don't know if the wrist pins are the same or not but I am pretty sure everything else is.

The pistons from the 2 valve 1000's and 1100's will work perfectly. You need to bore the 1000 cylinder, of course.

The pins are the same. (18mm) The compression height is the same. Suzuki either used shorter rods on the 1100 for the longer stroke, or a different block height.

        I am using Wiseco GS1000 3mm over (73mm) in my 1100.
