    New carbs

Has anyone tried the new Mikuni MJN carb setup from Yoshimura on a GS1100?

Did not know what they were so i found some info.
In 1971 Hideo “Pop” Yoshimura invented the 4-into-1 exhaust system which forever changed the look of 4-stroke motorcycles.

Don't think i will be using them as they cost more than the value of my whole bike.

Yes they are pretty pricey. Just wondered how they seem to work and if they make a difference and how much difference they do make.

Almost any performance carb will be a upgrade and better performance than a stocker. When properly running, (dynoed) a carburated bike is priceless and a joy to ride.

unless you've got some major engine work done $$$$, I wouldnt bother, their are other carb options out there

I say get them and let us all know how they worked. :-)

The 3 things I see that would be an issue (for me) is 1) they are allot $$$. 2) it looks like they are set up to run at higher rpms judging by the velocity stack length so unless you're running a higher rpms it may not help. and 3) How would you mount filters on it for daily use?
