    650 turbo

does any body now if they make a turbo for a 650 or is the engine just to small??? mostly doing it for apperance and sound

Suzuki made a stock turbo 650, the XN85 (I believe that was the model). There is a very nice web site out there for them. They are very rare but you might find one that has been crunched and get the stuff you need off of it...it would be best to replace the entire engine since you will need to lower the compression and alter the ignition timing.

the 650 is not to small. IN fact the RHb3 turbo off of a chevy sprint will work perfectly as a good match. A very torquey setup actually. :-) ti's a super tiny turbo. It's sized for 500-1300cc engines.

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back....... You probably highsided.

shouldn't this be under appearance mods then? Turbos look pretty ugly anyways. As for the sound, I think you want one of these:http://www.sunamiturbo.com/

Most of the turbo's were 650's. Some 750's and even fewer variations of others but 650 was by far the most popular engine to put a turbo onto from the factory.

oh yea \/ I ant a poser man I ride, I consider my car a secondary vehical and the blow off on a turbo sounds so bad ass. plus i like to see as much mechanical parts on a bike ass possible with out it being to offensive to look at, and a 2 3/4 inch down sweep pipe with no baffeling in it would sound increadibal ( put some ear plugs in if ya dont like it or just stay behind me on the interstate way behind me ) plus iam thinking about hooking up a propane line to the pipe and drilling a hole for a spark plug and tucking the extra coil in my old air cleaner box ( stage three jet kit with individual uni air filters) i would prob attach the tank like a nos set up but I would put it back by the tire on the right hand side. danm flames are cool    (hay i already know where to buy a fake flame lamp but i think it would just look to gay sorry)

                  Hi there,
The easiest setup to modify your GS650 would be to find a crunched Yammi XJ650 turboseca. It has everything you need for a 650 blowthrough setup, even the carbs, downpipes and plenum will fit without too much struggle. It has knocksensoring which adjusts the electronic ignition accordingly, and if you keep the boost below 10 pounds it can be used on your standard compression. The only trouble I see is that you will need an additional (electric?) return oil pump because the turbo is under the engine.
                  Good luck, Marco.
