Any interest in an actual performance 4-1 exhaust for GS1100E?

Here ya go. http://www.coneeng.com/ When I check out the parts that are available here, there is a striking resemblance to a Basanni. By the time your done, you might as well have bought one. The MotoGp pipes are sweet. Webike out of Japan has some nice pipes also, but are $$$. Pipes on old bikes dont make much more power than stock? Want to run for titles? Full systems on new bikes work better but are spendy, slip on mufflers are what I call fuel converters. They convert fuel to noise.Current Rides: 82 GS1100E, 00 Triumph 955 Speed Triple:twistedevil:, 03 Kawasaki ZRX1200, 01 Honda GL1800, '15 Kawasaki 1000 Versys
Past Rides: 72 Honda SL-125, Kawasaki KE-175, 77 GS750 with total yosh stage 1 kit, 79 GS1000s, 80 GS1000S, 82 GS750e,82 GS1000S, 84 VF500f, 86 FZR600, 95 Triumph Sprint 900,96 Triumph Sprint, 97 Triumph Sprint, 01 Kawasaki ZRX1200, 07 Triumph Tiger 1050, 01 Yam YFZ250F
Work in progress: 78 GS1000, unknown year GS1100ES

I agree with all you say, they are just some of the choices that have to be made. I don't really want to get into manufacturing exhaust systems, all I really want is one for myself and doing a small batch might make that feasible. The welding is so I don't have to worry about fitment on someone else's bike and mild steel is easy to work on in your garage. Welding stainless means TIG and most guys don't have that option available to them.
I'm just checking on interest before I go to the trouble to model an exhaust system in solidworks to get quotes on the CNC bending. If no one else cares (which is very possible) then I likely won't invest the time to build the model.

If you are wanting to make a performance header good luck. There has been a lot of improvement over the years with regards to collectors and the length of the collector. Also the length of the megaphone is important. I have made exhaust for Pro Stock motorcycles before and it is an art that is usually left to someone that has been doing it for years. I am not saying you cant make a nice header, but to say it will be a performance header with equal length primary's, it takes a lot more than that. Good luck and looking forward to see what you come up with.
