I've been asked to document installing GSXR controls on my GS1100E. I'm not sure of the year of the controls that I used, but I think most of them are very similar. What I do like is that they look better than the originals that I removed and they feel much better - especially the brake lever.
The process that I used was to ohm out the pins on the connectors in order to understand how they should be hooked up. This is a tedious process, but is necessary and can be done with any controls that you wish to use.
Below is the diagram that I put together for the left hand control - Hi/Lo beam, Turn signals, and Horn. The turn signals actually have a lot more going on than I needed as well as the connections for the clutch safety switch.

Once you know what's behind the curtain it's not that difficult to hook everything up.
Since I'm using LED turn signals, I removed the stock signal unit and replaced it with a 2 terminal LED compatible blinker. When the bike is on, the blinker unit is flashing all the time so simply hook it up to the common side for the selector, which is J1-2.
J2-5 is connected to the left turn signals.
J2-6 is connected to the right turn signals.
J1-6 is connected to a fused 12v source and the Light Green free wire is connected to the horn.
J1-4 is connected to the right hand control J3-3 (below). This is the N.C. Starter along with J3-9. When the starter is activated this switch opens up and removes power to the headlight.
J2-4 then is connected to the Hi beam, while the Lo beam is connected to J1-4 also.
Note that the Lo beam is always on during normal operation. Only the Hi beam is switched on and off. The LED headlight that I selected (JW Speaker Evo 2) has logic that will turn the lo beam off when the Hi is activated.
OK, next is the diagram of the Right Hand controls.

J3-4 is connected to fused 12v.
J3-1 is connected to the high side of the coils When the kill switch is activated power is removed from the coils.
J3-6 is connected to the starter solenoid.
J3-3 and J3-9 are inline to the headlight. When the starter is activated the headlight is off.
J3-2 and J3-7 are wired to the brake lights.
That's about it for the controls. If anyone needs more information I'll try to get it to you.
Here's a couple of pics of the controls as the appear on the bars. The tank is set on the seat area waiting for my carbtune. Not the beat look, but there it is anyway.
