Yeah, it's a motorcycle forum, in a way. It's polluted by all the political garbage talk, and now this avatar issue.

    Dumb as hell...

...but still a motorcycle forum. I wish we would be self-disciplined enough to keep it that way.

katman, that is just stupid bro. The problem is fixed and even if it wasn't your participation on this forum was beneficial to many who haven't even voiced an opinion on this mater and many who have. I think you are allowed to do whatever you want but just want to say that if you leave for this reason "I" feel your motives are very selfish and your not thinking about any of your fellow GS'rs at all. Some of us "more" than like your input in the performance threads and there are current mods talking place on several bikes that were spawned from your ideas and input.

And if you go, I am sure to beat you to completion as you wont be able to post in time to prove it any other way

Yeah that?s a challange, bring it on!

        Just stick man, come on...

          Katman,
I don't really know you, since I'm fairly new here, however I would hate to see you go. I don't agree with your ideas about nudity and morality and whatnot, however I can respect that those are your views and you are entitled to think whatever you wish. The problem has been solved, so there is no reason to leave.

With all due respect to those that think the problem has been solved, the real problem here is not the issue of whether or not the fix has been made. The problem is with the attitude of those responding to a heartfelt request. I came very close to calling a few here some things they would not have liked. I held my tongue though, Katman held his own in my book.

While it may be true that this is public domain and people can respond in any way they choose, the reaction of those that were in disagreement with Katman left plenty to be desired. So now the site has lost one of its most valuable contributors.

This same type of thing happened to John Eckhart and I a couple of years ago. John never did return, a great loss to the site. It was months before I returned. Now this has left a foul taste in my mouth and I am seriously thinking of calling it quits permanently. There are people here who hold themselves in high regard who lack the wisdom and good sense to refrain from things they have no business posting. As the old saying goes, "If you don't have anything nice to say, ..."

So now off I go to ponder any further participation.
