I stand by Works. I have one in 2 of 3 of my 1150's. They are way, way better than stock. The "Ultra" in the 85e cost 700usd and is made to order. The 'Standard" in the 84es cost 480usd, and again is way better than stock. 1400 usd for a shock no matter how good is what I would call "Reaching The Point Of Diminishing Return",it can't improve the ride enough to justify costing twice as much.

      Thanks Billy,

That may be a good tip...

The Penske deal is dead....12 to 1400.00 per shock for piggy backs. They told me they have to custom the shocks and custom the springs because they don't have a twin shock program.

Mark, not sure buddy is on about the the other shocks but you have his edress. Let me know if you get some.

Katman, check with Ohlins, their model 36PRCLB is designed for your bike, it's a piggy back and if memory serves me correctly they run in the $700-$800 USD range.

Thanks Doze....I will do that. I can't find any shops around here that can get the twins...

I will have to find a U.S. shop somewhere.

          cheers,

Yeh Rob...I agree with you there. I don't need or will I use a shock of that ability so I don't, Make that Won't pay that kind of money for one. I had a look for some works shocks a while ago but couldn't find any of them either... If you could help me out with that I would have a look at them.

Go to www.worksperformance.com to check out what they have for how to want use it. When I called them for my shocks they asked about mods to the bike, how I ride it, how much I wiegh (too much), and most important: "How much do you want to spend?" The shock for the 84es is the steel body unit and it was less than 500usd. That's a monoshock though.I don't know about thier duals.

                    Rob,

I checked out the Works shocks too. should be getting a quote in a day or too. Not to kean on the fins on the reservoir though. I guess that is to add serface area for cooling.

Plan D is some progressives for 300.00 Canadian.
