The cable is orginal, the mounts are too. Does anyone have a part number for the throttle cable of a 750T visible on their housings?

The carbs are not in the greatest shape. One bore is corroded, an idle adjuster is stripped, and they have been worked around a bit. I cleaned them up to make them work and we will use them on a temp basis until the other set can be rebuilt to exacting standards. Spring is here so we need to ride.
I put my shop book and owner's manual on Basscliffs site - may wish to look there. Otherwise where on the housing should I look?

Tweaking the hand controls solved the throttle cable problem. We started the bike with the temporary carbs and it idles find. I did a quick sync on the rack and it looked OK.

There was a fuel leak that seemed to be coming from one of the fuel tubes between the carbs. I have his better set and will go about refinishing it.

We did get the front sprocket nut off. At least 100 lbs of torque on that bolt, tightest I've ever seen. The manual calls for around 35.

The new chain was installed as well.

Is the bike up and running? Last posts from duanege suggested it's been started up but how about a general update with some new photos?

The bike is running but it's in pieces again. I am going to try to work on it again this weekend.

I started working on the bike again. I finished installing the new chain and removed the handlebars are levers to exchange them for clean new parts.

Bike is looking better than ever. Great job! One suggestion if you were unaware...Evapo Rust will eat off the rust on your shocks and various other chromed parts. Soak them for a while, lightly scrub with a stainless steel wire brush, soak some more as need, rinse, and hit them with some furniture polish spray wax to protect against the rust coming back. The rust will return eventually, but the wax will postpone it for a while. Good stuff.

                        Cloud,

What is with the 82 directionals on an 83, preference?

I look forward to seeing more pictures of your obsession.

I took it to my friends cycle shop because I have dragged my feet so long on this project. He owes me a few favors so I am finally cashing in.
