Unfortunately, their UPS shipping charge (with the accompanying bogus brokerage fees) of $53 + makes this inexpensive item too expensive for Canucks.. bummer.

Cheapest I can find in Canada is $97 plus shipping..

That's the right one! Buy it as gift for relative/friend in USA and have them forward it to you- looks like $73 US dollars shipped to stateside address. It is the R/R you want-I added one in June (for same price-different supplier) and no charging problems at all.

Yes, provided your stator and connections are good- don't forget to test stuff,so do the quickee test and go from there as needed..... don't just throw new parts at it!

Looks like corrosion on the negative lead out of the R/R was the culprit for stator shorting. Rewiring most of the entire wiring harness to get her factory fresh again. Who doesn't love a good winter project?

I am a total noobie when it comes to bike building so forgive me if this is something I should be able to figure out easily from the chart. What Honda regulator model(s) would work on a 1982 GS450T?

Lots would work ,but your best choice is none of them! get a SH-775 from a Polaris ATV dealer their part #4012941 . search on the forum for reasons why.

Steve has graciously done the price checking for online ones- if you got a Polaris dealer near you, inquire ,cuz they might be close or willing to bargain.

That's a shame. My local dealer dropped the price to $69.00 after I showed them the online prices. No shipping charges, but state tax brought it up to about $73.00 total cost.

on that Polaris part I saw that it had two connectors on the regulator. Are you guys buying the connector harnesses for the other side For wiring?
