I sometimes find myself trying to shift into sixth gear when riding my 1000e. I'm thinking about changing the gear ratio when I order new chain and sprockets this spring.

I often wish my 1150 had another gear up top.

With all that torque they didn't need 6 speeds.

Only GS bikes with 6 speeds were the 550 and under. 650 and up were all 5 speeds.

I think they were both 5 speeds.

Had it up to about 65 mph on the trailer behind my old 12 valve dodge when bringing it home. If I ever get it road worthy I might beat that by at least 20 or so mph.

I am pretty sure the 750 could touch 145.

The tests could be a little.optimistic, but not a lot.
The GSXRs also had better aerodynamics.
