    1980 gs1000g rebuild

Finished painting a buddies bike this weekend. Took me a bit to warm up to this color he picked though. Its in between a copper and gold.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Didn't take me long to warm up, I LIKE IT. Now thinking all the 1000G stripes were gold, I think, so OEM stripes won't work. Were there any other color stripes for the 850's? I can't picture any..., So custom stripes...UUmmm, let's think about that. Surely ya'll have something in mind??

I like the color, too. Flashy, for sure. Are all those scratches on the Durango hood from putting metal gas tanks on it...?

Lovely color, reminds me of the Yamaha twin you restored.

Kawa. had a color close to that, back in the 70's on one of their old 3 cyl. H2's... I can't picture or remember what color stripes it had though.

Bodywork looks great, Chuck. Like the gold.
Blasphemy that it is Honda Gold but the '72 CB350 colour combo has been a favourite of mine.
