    1982 GS550L OEM Gaskets

Can anyone tell me where I can order a full OEM gasket kit for a 1982 GS550L? I don't want to use aftermarket if I can buy OEM.

    Thanks in advance

AFAIK, Suzuki nor any of the online outlets for OEM parts sell gasket KITS, only singles. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

You can look up the part numbers on the fiches for your bike year and model on a site like partshark.com or others. If there is a price shown for the part, it's still available and you can order from them (or your local dealer or any other online OEM partshouse). You could shop around for the best price if you like. If no price is shown, that part is NLA. But copy the part number and use it to search ebay, but buyer beware. Some of these things, while NLA from Suzuki are still floating aroung in someone's private stash.

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum. Some helpful resources for you linked in my signature if you're new to working on GSs, need a manual, want to know how to post pics, want to fix your charging system for good, etc.

      Thanks Rich.
Looks like I have some work to do on finding the gaskets.

Yes, GS is new to me. This one was sitting in the back of the previous owners garage since 1991. I bought a Clymer manual for it.
Naturally it didn't start when I got it. I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs (bought airbox and filter assy from ebay) Got it running but the spark is really poor and sporadic. Even after cleaning all the electrical connections. I have a Dyna ignition ordered.
Once I get it running a little better I'm going to tear it down and check everything out. That's why I need the gaskets. I much prefer going OEM whenever possible.
I rebuilt a 1999 Honda Shadow 1100 that was sitting for14 years (used all OEM stuff). Runs great and is my daily rider.

Sounds great. OEM is way to go with most things, especially gaskets.

Piece together OEM gaskets where ever possible. Only exception is to get some viton valve stem seals.
