I would like to get some advise from you guys with regards to building the motor. What parts am i going to need in addition to what I already have or going to order?

            I Have:
            Top end oiler
            welded crank
            undercut trans
            slotted cam sprockets

            To buy:
            cam chain
            manual tensioner
            gasket set
            HD main bearing studs
            HD cylinder studs
            HD head nuts
            HD clutch hub nut
            new transmission bearings
            Straight cut gear for clutch
            clutch hub rebuild kit

              Straight cut gear for clutch
              clutch hub rebuild kit
you may find that the cam chain is in spec, so no need for a new one, they usually last forever
cylinder studs are likely to be all right as well
i prefer factory cam chain tensioner but others may tell you otherwise
transmission bearings are heavy duty items on these bikes as far as i know
so, all up, you may be able to save some money from your list

Just looked at your pics again looks like who ever did your crank added katana rods (498). The kat rods are heavier duty then stock 1100 rods so i have been told.

Since you have the motor split i would go with a new hd cam chain, you plan to run cams i would guess and when you go to hd valve springs it puts more stress on the chain.

have you given any thought to ignition?

hd valve springs, they are realativly cheap and if you add them now you don't have to pull the head when you go to bigger cams later.

My plan for the ignition is to go the full Dyna 2000 route. As for the head I will have to take a look at it, I know the PO had the bigger valves put in but I don't know what all was done as far as springs and what not. It will be a little while before i can take a look because i am currently working 1300KM away from home.

I just remembered something else that I am adding to this bike...I am building my own wireing harness and figured a new fews block was in order. I decided on the Painless 70207. It has 4 ignition switched circuits and 3 constant hot, it is like having the coil relay mod built in

It is from Painless Performance(http://www.painlessperformance.com/) although i did order it through a local shop. The one I got is part #70207 and it is a Weatherproof Cirkit Boss 7 circuit box and you can get the installation instructions from their website or I can email them to you. I had seen them on ebay and you can also get them through amazon.

Let me know if you have anymore questions

What would be the best carbs to use on this bike? Also what is the best brand of gasket kit to use?

carbs, i leave to someone more informed...

gasket kits, people have mixed experiences with popular brands like athena or vesrah, some good, some bad, sometimes kits have confusing bits or are incomplete... especially some oil seals are often not included.

for the head gasket and base gasket best to go with oem.

i would order a kit from either vesrah or athena, then see what's in it and make up the missing difference by suzuki oem parts

Believe it or not but I just found a suzuki gasket kit (part#11400-00841) on ebay so I went ahead and got it.

Man, I've been following this bike build for 3 years (and 2 owners) now...

                                Any more updates?
