What is the metal and rubber part that attaches the carb to the head called? I took them off to replace the rubber o-rings and the rubber part that attaches to the carb separated from the metal part that attaches to the head. Can I seal it back with some RTV sealant or do I have to find a replacement? It happened while I was taking out the screws on the sides to put some anti-sieze on them.

I was feeling so good since the old o-rings were flat, hard, and definitely needed to be replaced. I even had visions of getting back on the road later this week.

Can you "reseal them"...not if you want them to last.
I have seen a few posts where this has been attempted, but to my knowledge, it is a best, a short term "fix".
Best to buy a new set.
