I got time to play with this GS1100 a little. The fairing is mounted with factory type hardware. I got it fired up and it sounds like a bike that has sat up for a few years, Kinda rough, but good rough, like the carbs need help. No smoke or knocks so it will probably tune out OK. I am going to do a compression test when I get time, and I am going to ride just a bit to check out the trans and clutch. The gauges do hit the fairing when you turn the forks all the way either direction, at about the last 20% of the travel. So there would be some work there to overcome the problem. I am still happy to have this one.
