Aaaaah I get ya now... stick a big ball bearing on it and shove it up there to push the dints out. Am I right?

The compressed air deal sounds like it could be a winner if he doesn't want an arm and a leg for it though...

Is that how he does it?Seen his ad on UsedVic.Should see how much he wants. This is my attempt to copy something I seen done here. The guy welded a 1.5 inch ball bearing to the front of the rod.Where would I even find one of those?

If you're interested there is a local guy that uses compressed air and heat to remove dents in pipes. Not sure of the cost but between talking with him and seeing photos it looks like he gets them out pretty well. Let me know if you want his info. Projects looking great, you're going to be riding sooner than you thought.

Sorry the pic is blurry. It's a piece of large theaded rod I ground down to s hopefully beat out the dent in the pipe.

Starting to resemble a motorcycle there... nice

At first glance I thought those were a mutant pair of jeans with four legs, then I realised they're your pipes

What is that that you're holding up for the pic there? Is it some sort of panel beating tool? I got no idea...

Put the front wheel on,bars and hardware to.

Like this cover.Has more character than the 85,was worth the hassle to get it on.
    Hoping to use this

To get some of this out

May have done a bit of good. Will keep trying.

Did my wiring harness with contact cleaner tonight. After I sprayed them I put dielectric grease in the bullet socket covers. As I plug them back in I will clean those connectors to.Was expecting it to be harder.Suppose it is if you have the harness on the bike.

That will make polishing a lot easier! I got polishing wheels for the bench grinder which is great except where I set it up is a little cramped at the moment.

And yep, I have made more progress tonight too, but don't have the energy to update my rebuild thread tonight, will do that in the morning.

Let me give you a hint though... the crankcases aren't real light when flipping it over and lifting onto the work bench by yourself...

Had to do this twice to.Forgot the rear brake pivot has to go in before the swingarmThe end link was a little to lose at the swingarm so I added a extra thrust washer under the end cap,all better now

D'oh! Of course, fall then winter... what was I thinkin'

Cleaning connectors is going to be fun indeed! That's one I haven't tackled yet, and I'm also considering custom harness... we shall see...
