1/2 a bottle of Simple green(full strength)and some time with the pressure washer and I know have a mostly clean frame.

Now to clean up the rust.
Also got a new set of grips locally.

    Good buy to!

Yeah I need that shed... that and some time to get a bit more organised would solve my problem I think, then I wouldn't have to move the frame every time I wanted to do something...

Must remember to nag the wife and the house mate about it tonight and find out what we're doing about it!

Well what helps me with space is a workshop on the back of my place. All the parts bikes are back there, what's left of them.Plus a bunch of other stuff. The mower and snippier are in the shed to,they are hung up on the left, made the extra room in the shed possible.Have a small compressor on the left to,very handy

And you're done! Nice! Now it's time for the real fun of making it all nice and shiny and getting it back together

My main issue with my space is that I have nowhere to put the frame without taking the car out, which stops me being able to get into the work bench and crankcases.

Apparently we're getting a garden shed at some point, been waiting for that for months now. If we had that, then the mower, whipper snipper, and a bunch of other stuff can go out there which would give me an alternative place in the garage to store the rolling frame, then I'd be laughin'!

Don't really have that much more room Pete. There is a bit more but not by as much as it looks.
So you think it will be done soon hee?

    You may just be right

All the painting and polishing to keep me occupied this winter.

    Done for now!

Good stuff, you'll have it stripped down in no time!

I wanna start working on mine at night, but I need to move my rolling chassis out of the way to do that, but nowhere to put it...

Here's the area I have, very disorganised because I barely get time to work on it let alone tidy up properly!

That's the front of my wife's car on the left and the top crankcase half is under the pink rag behind the bike... not so squeezy!!

Did some more today .Exhaust is off,so's the oil cooler.Engine mounts are loose so it's ready to come out tomorrow.
Thanks Pete, the shed clean has made doing stuff on rainy days possible. It rains here a lot in the fall and winter.Been doing most of the work over the summer out in front of the shed.It was not going to work if I wanted to get anything done over the winter.

    You're definitely getting somewhere now!

I'm jealous of the room you have to work too.

To get in to mine, I have to back my wife's car out of the garage, then move the rolling frame so I can get into the work bench.

Very frustrating and restrictive, especially if I want to do something late at night without making any noise!

Had some car distractions this week but got some more done today.I did some last weekend to but not enough to post.

The rest of the body work is off, wiring is out and the carbs are out.Next big one is to get the engine out.Good times
Love having room to work in the shed, especially on a showery day like today!

A new brush and a bit of good advice made a big improvement.

Sounds like a good plan actually, that should go well especially with the red highlights on the motor and the red brake lines.

Had a peak at your other thread and there's no way my hand would be steady enough for that, so good luck! Looks like you're getting the hang of it in the last pic though.

Guess you would say a general neaten up with a complete repaint.Body work red with gold pinstripes i plan on doing the hard way http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=165697 .Nothing fancy,I like it the way it is except for all the PO neglect.

    Been waiting for this

So what's the plan with the tear down? General neaten up? Repaint? Something else entirely?

Apologies if I've missed the answer but I thought I'd kept up with your thread...
