Got my GS 750's

Did some more today .Exhaust is off,so's the oil cooler.Engine mounts are loose so it's ready to come out tomorrow.
Thanks Pete,the shed clean has made doing stuff on rainy days possible.It rains here a lot in the fall and winter.Been doing most of the work over the summer out in front of the shed.It was not going to work if I wanted to get anything done over the winter.

I wanna start working on mine at night, but I need to move my rolling chassis out of the way to do that, but nowhere to put it...

Here's the area I have, very disorganised because I barely get time to work on it let alone tidy up properly!



That's the front of my wife's car on the left and the top crankcase half is under the pink rag behind the bike... not so squeezy!!

My main issue with my space is that I have nowhere to put the frame without taking the car out, which stops me being able to get into the work bench and crankcases.

Apparently we're getting a garden shed at some point, been waiting for that for months now. If we had that, then the mower, whipper snipper, and a bunch of other stuff can go out there which would give me an alternative place in the garage to store the rolling frame, then I'd be laughin'!

Well what helps me with space is a workshop on the back of my place.All the parts bikes are back there,what's left of them.Plus a bunch of other stuff.The mower and snippier are in the shed to,they are hung up on the left,made the extra room in the shed possible.Have a small compressor on the left to,very handy

Yeah I need that shed... that and some time to get a bit more organised would solve my problem I think, then I wouldn't have to move the frame every time I wanted to do something...

Must remember to nag the wife and the house mate about it tonight and find out what we're doing about it!

1/2 a bottle of Simple green(full strength)and some time with the pressure washer and I know have a mostly clean frame.

Now to clean up the rust.
Also got a new set of grips locally.

The projects looking great. I recently painted the frame on my 1000 and tried many different rattle cans, VHT, plasti kote, Canadian Tire Dupli-color. Wound up going with a Dupli-color product that is an epoxy mix I found at JB's Paint and Body Supplies down on Oak St. After being left for awhile it has turned into a very durable stock looking black. The VHT frame paint is very close though, just a bit shinier. Looking forward to the next pics.

That frame is certainly looking much cleaner! I couldn't believe the difference in mine either once I'd gotten the cleaner onto it.

I did mine with POR 15 Blackcote with brushes and it came out pretty well over all. You can still see some brush strokes but I can live with that.

I also used POR 15 Metal Ready which takes care of the little bits of surface rust around the place and gives it all a nice surface for the paint to adhere.

Those grips should be nice and comfy too by the looks, gotta love the gel stuff!

Really like Progrips,had some on my SV.One off the parts bikes had them but it was the crashed one so they where not good.Newenough had the same style one as the parts bike ones for $8 usd,great they only wanted $30 for shipping to Canada.Can't even imagine what it would be to Oz.

Ouch!!!! It was less than $20 Aus to get my case cover bolts from Z1 shipped!

Think I'll keep an eye out locally...

Z1 is great for shipping.Did a couple of small orders through them and only payed $6 shipping each time.

They do seem pretty good!

I also just ordered a cam chain from an eBay seller in the US... $14.99 postage brought the whole price to just under $63 in Aus dollars... wish they were that cheap locally!
