Finally got the pieces loose wheel/white polished and clear coated

I'm not a big fan of having to keep re-polishing stuff.I lose a bit of shine but I can live with that. Now I can get going.Canceling the buffer. The grinder does a good job.

Putting my freshly polished pieces together has been more hassle than I thought.Putting the right side together I snapped the passenger peg pin.Well I've got more so I polished up another one.

Yeah polished up a left instead of a right

All good now.Painted a few bits to.Swinger's in the frame, battery box to.
Entered the build off, sent the guy running it a link to this thread. His answer was "Wow that's crazy......good luck with the build."

Love those carbs, and I think you just helped me identify that extra rack I have kicking around. Exactly the same as yours, thanks.

Got lazy in my last post. Here a pics of the progress of the 4>1:

This is what it originally looked like. About 1/3 flattened.

                            Painted it anyway.

Looked OK but it was not really a great way for it to be.
Enter this thread http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=165772 Great a way to fix it!
                            Got the tool from Gstexas:

And used it as soon as I got it home:

Then cleaned up some of the scars with a file.

                            Painted it yesterday.

                            Nice and round again!

That made a huge difference! As you say, not perfect, but it's the underside so who cares? As long as it flows lots of gas that's all that matters.

^^^Did that yesterday.Sorted out some wiring stuff I wanted to get done:

Not the best pic.You can just make out the new ground to the Reg/Rec under the bolt.

Goes up to a battery ground.New ground to the frame while I was at it.
I was looking at the stator wires thinking of running them to the stock connectors up here:

Then I realized if I ran them straight back the reached the R/R without 3 or4 extra feet of wire and connectors between them.So I did:

Since taped them up and buried the old wires. Why Suzuki did that is beyond me .
