Sure it is...it's also lighter than a 180 will be on a 5.5" wheel.

thanks for the info . will check it .

somehow its impossible to find front supermoto hub that fits 2 brake discs .

If you really want to go with the supermoto-esque route, what you need to look for are older 15mm GS750 (and similar) wire spoke wheels, then get new hoops for them. You'll be out more, but you'll end up with wheels reminiscent of the Ducati GT1000.

            still checking my options.

most possible option is drz400sm wheels with yamaha super tenere 750 front hub and ktm 320mm discs .

still need to check and calculate how the braking system will operate with still rotors and calipers ( allmost all bikes i know have at least one of those componets floating) ...

any kind of info on the subject is more than welcomed .

            thanks

acid cleaned and zinc coated 26 yo bolts, nuts, spacers...

most of them will find their way back to the bike.

WOW! I hope you like jigsaw puzzles. Or are really good at knowing what bolts go where!

Good luck with the re-assembly. The parts look great and I love the stance with the wire wheels. The bike looks fast even with no engine!

because of bearuocratic stuff i need the bike running in 2 months .

this actualy suspends any modyfication plans , and i need to re assemble it fast .

after i'll get it back on road , i'll modify all i wanted to do ( wire wheels, new front end and a lot of cnc bits)

first i did was sand blasting & powder coating

the parts were rusty and Rotten :

ive decided to re use the katana600 forks ( the rgv forks are too short and will wait for my next project- ktm based cafe racer).

the forks will be restored, probably with new springs that will fit my weight.

i need some help to find out the best way to renew the fork tubes.
they are a bit pitted, and unfortunetley some pits are n the " working area of the tube, wich meens that they are responsible for the hacked seals.

sadly i still have no rear shock, and because importing used one to israel is a criminal act, and we dont have any early 2000s ducatis, it will wait till my next trip abroad ( new one costs more than average month income - 2000+$)

in the meanwhile ive mocked up the bike for some measurments .

think to use drz400 rear hub and super tenere 750 front hub .

will apriciate any comments and tips .

                              thanks.

                              few pics from today

i can tell you who does it near tel aviv if it helps...

look your local yellow pages for any gavanazing/zinc coating factory.

here i could choose for silver, gold, black or army green coating.
