I've decided not to go all out on the shiny bits as next winter will see the motor replaced by a late GSXF or early GSXR unit.

I have an on road date in mind but I'm not going to say anything. You know what will happen if I do.

    Ignitor? Hmm.
Here is a photo of the one for the barbecue. I hope that helps.
Yeah that's helpful... ought to work a treat, will certainly provide spark when mixed with fuel...

The good thing with that is hopefully by the time you are done there are no problem areas left and you are simply left with something you can be proud of.

But I tell ya, if that's what bourbon does to paint, I'm glad I don't drink it! Scotch is much more friendly...

Good to see some action again

    Wanna come fix my ignitor?

I need to pay penance to someone or other I think.

Anyway, I went out to the shed last night for a stare..
I found that I didn't much like what I was looking at so I took to it with cigarettes and bourbon..

I'm going back out there tonight..

Ever finished a job and looked at it thinking "Yeah, that looks good"
Then you look at it a month or so later and realise it's a bit crappy in a spot..
Then you realise there are more spots.
    Lots more spots...

Then I pulled a blanket over it, kissed it good night and wandered inside..

I'm glad you never finished that sentence... this is a Suzuki forum... hahahaha

I have no intention of letting a lack of riding buddies stopping me from riding, and in fact for the first month or so I'll be glad to be by myself as I try to get some confidence back again. 9 years off two wheels is a little worrisome as I've actually been off one now longer than I was on one... now that's sad!

There's at least one GSR member near me (Hillsy), although I suspect his 450 may be a little longer getting going than mine by the looks, although I'm pretty sure he has others...

    You'll be right, Pete.
You meet the nicest people on a .. Oh never mind.

    There's a few GSR'ers in your vicinity isn't there?
    If not, just ride, mate.

They are the mob I usually ride with.
Aaah I stand corrected I think my wife's "problem" with Frankston has more to do with her parents (they're feral) than Frankston though...

Boris seems to be an interesting guy. Some of his articles annoy the crap out of me, most are very entertaining. I have always suspected that knowing the guy would reveal a good bloke. I fear if he ever met me he would suspect me of some beige cardigan wearing though...

Sadly I'm currently lacking in any riding mates at all. I used to ride with some random people around Brissie that were all on an email group, but that's sort of disappeared over the last 5 years or so and seeing as I haven't ridden for around 9 years, I've lost contact with them all.

Something I have to work on once it's on the road again...

Nice start on the rambling there

So I see you're from Frankston... that's where my wife doesn't like to admit she's originally from...

And the Bike Me link... are you linked to good ol' Borrie somehow?

Good stuff on the start, can't wait to see those photos...
