The graphic was set up on their computer at the business. I don't know all the technical details; I just know he had tried several different ways but with the fade he just wasn't getting the right color red.

Here's what the two looked like:

This actually looks a little pink on right side to but more due to crappy cell phone pic.

It's the only reason my GS was done with spray cans.....well all the black...

The tins were done by a pro....

I have been put onto a powder coating company locally and to do all the bits and pieces on my Yamaha I might get lucky and it will run me about 400, this will be frame and rims, and a few bits, and that will be if I am lucky....if not, well it will get the same spray can treatment as did the GS...

      .
give me a buzz I can get a frame done right for 150 and rims 40-50 each in Bolton.

Getting there. Not sure if I am going to use the vintage Fox's or if I am going to use black/red YSS piggyback's that I have. I had traded my Ohlins for the YSS's a while back. Probably should not have done that but I wanted something different than what most folks use. Also all engine covers on bike now will be replaced with the powder coated parts I have. Should make it look a little better but I am not sure about engine paint right now. I wanted it to look satin but it looks like maybe primer that was used is soaking up the paint a little. We'll see when she gets all together.

Paint will be done today hopefully.

Yeah will need to see what those engine covers do but I think you'll be fine on the engine side Russ.

And yes you definitely should've kept the Ohlin's to match those front forks

            What colour are the Fox's?

Michelin Pilot Powers (I think). To tell you the truth I am so scatter brained right now I can't think straight.

This build has been extremely challenging the last couple of weeks. Just a few of the highlights:

                      - Anodizer mistakenly anodizes my NEW Vortex triple tree black when they were supposed to clear anodize.
                      - Anodizer somehow misplaces a custom fabbed piece for ignition switch.
                      - I somehow misplace a set of cam cap covers which I replace and bring to powder coater. Powder coater then promptly melts them. Didn't know they were aluminum.
                      - Painter misplaces the right side fake switches that go into side cover.
                      - Painter somehow gets hair and couple pieces of dirt on tank then clears over it. Also smudge on side cover and clears over it. They of course have to re-shoot and I pick up today looks great until I get home and realize that when they wet sanded side cover they must have hit vinyl pinstriping and distorted it. They will have to re-shoot.
                      - Got seat back today and guy messed up the seams. Good work just seams in wrong place. I actually may keep the way it is. Not bad just not exactly what I wanted.

Literally not one damn thing has gone smoothly lately. I am about to lose my damn mind.

Many of us can relate. I am 95% done on my build. After getting the motor back in, I accidentally broke the shift linkage. Unfortunately is specific to this year and model and guess what, they don't make it anymore. Crap! Can't find my battery strap. And Ive somehow lost my electrical crimpers I need to finish up the electrics. I'd pull my hair out too but I'm trying to hang on to what I have left.

So, it's time to step away for a day or so, have a beer, put on some good tunes, and take a deep breath. Looking at what your building, this moment in time will quickly be forgotten once you are out on the open road.

Personally I blame you Larry. if you would have painted my bodywork I am certain none of this would have ever happened.
