    GS 1100 Pulled From Shed

Well i have a 1980 1100 e that was put away wet and no one knew why.
The owner had passed away so there was no help. but since he had been my
best friend since 2nd grade and had bought this bike out of high school. I took on the task of bringing it back to life.

after 3 washes the dirt and oil was gone and i started to strip it down. this web site was a great help with my project.

I have all the machine work done valve job, bored cylinders ,head decked .

new header seat cover waiting to go on. . My work goes on this winter so i can ride this GS come spring. Its not my first GS. i bought a 79 1000 e brand
new and my pal got this one as soon as it hit the shores.

I wish i had that 79 but this 80 is going to do just fine.

    Interesting story.
It will be nice to see it back to it's former glory.

Nice bit of history with the bike. Sounds like one of those meant to do things. Looking forward to the pics of the rebuild. Welcome.
