Thanks guys, I'm still giddy this morning.
Smellii, to tell you the truth it felt fine... Down right comfy. Theres more than enough padding for me to not feel like I am bottoming it out. I was more worried about the height, being so low and my legs so long (34" inseam) possibly making it feel like my knees were in my chest. But I think with these superbike bars instead of say clubmans or dragbars, I am setting more "upright" so it feels very natural.

Nicely done Hoosier_Daddy. the bike looks fantastic and I bet you get a gawker or too as well. Love the Eddie paint scheme.
They are predicting highs in the mid-fifties over the next several days here in MO which is usually a day or so ahead of you guys so it looks like you will get a chance to take here out again soon.

Thanks for the Props guys... You got that right Pete. Itchin for spring already and we got 3 months to go, well maybe 2. March can be touch-n-go around here.
Sci: Thanks for the heads up I just watched the morning weather report and sat / sun are supposed to be clear and back in the 40's. Unfortunately that usually means my driveway is mud for a couple days after a thaw.
P.S. Gotta love Googlemaps, helps me long for summer!

I did a quick pre-ride inspection, fired her up and went for a longer ride around what I call the little square, 4 miles with one road being curves.Working her through the paces to get used to how she feels. Made it to an intersection that has a small church and parked it there to check it over and snap this pic.
On the return leg I rounded the last corner and have about a 1/2 mile that's flat and straight so I grabbed a hand full of throttle into 2nd then 3rd, looked down and was going over 70. DAMN she pulls harder than I even hoped!! Once it gets past mid point on the RPMs the Kerker / Suppertrap combo begins to roar along with a pull that gets stronger the higher you go... no flat spots, no mis-fires, just a surge of smooth pulling power!! Not wanting to flog on her too much, I upshifted to 4th then 5th and took her home. Confident the oil was warm and had flushed every internal crevice, I drained it and gave her a fresh filter and 4qts. now that snow is predicted for tomorrow, She should be ready to go this spring.

Thanks Testa... I tried to make the best of the hand I was delt. Fortunatly I wasn't going the Cafe' route on this one. The shape would have been all wrong for my vision on how those should look. But for an '80s Brat bike look that I was going after I think it fit's the bill rather well.

I am not sure if the paint job is growing on me or if by having it outside in the sun and in the open if it makes the paint look less busy, but she really looks good in that last pic. Glad to hear she handled like a dream was there much shimmy due to wind when you were testing her upper limits shall we say? Glad she is all good. I am planning on cleaning up the left hand controls tonight and maybe taking the bike to my buds house to see about removing that stuck bolt. Once again nice job on the bike, still waiting to see what you work on next.

Here's my 200km trip from yesterday:
Very handy when planning a ride with others I feel, you can really plot out where you're heading so you know where to meet up if you get separated...

The Kerker Header / Supertrapp muffler with 9 disks in it and the oiled Uni air filter mounted to the airbox in place of the Factory filter box. The sprockets are the stock ratios 40/15, rear tire is a stock "L" size 130/90-16. The front tire is up one size 100/90-19 so I believe the speedo was realativley accuate, since that should make it read slow if anything. However, the tach is really sluggish (slow) so unfortunately I don't know what kind of RPM's I was turning, revving by ear I hope I wasn't taking here past her redline...but it was still pulling.Last edited by Guest; 12-30-2011, 01:09 PM.
