650 Katana, should I or shouldn't I cut the frame?

This was todays project. Fill in that gap under the frame. I had some aluminium checker plate so I used that.



I'm not really trying to make it look like a modern sportsbike, just trying to make it look like mine,,,,,, if that makes sense.
