What paint did you use on the exhaust? Make sure you cure it slowly... You want to idle it for a couple of minutes & shut it off. Do that 2 or 3 times then gradually let it go longer, 5 mins a couple of times, one ten minute blast. Let it cool between each one.
If you don't it burns it at the head pipes & it will start to flake.1980 GS1000G - Sold

Here's a few sneak peeks from the AMA display at Infineon Raceway. I'll take some better pics when I have time.
I haven't even started it yet...I just put it together for the show and ran out of time. I still need to install the petcock, fuel sending unit, fuel line and the stator. The cam caps will be replaced with some finned black ones that I have. I still need to install the crash guards, too. Oh, and put some oil in it and break it in!
