Depending on the year they may not all be yellow Pete. I think mine are like white/green, blue/green, and yellow. They serve the purpose of all yellow wires though!

So true, I actually think I was wrong and I think it's the R/R side that's all yellow on mine, been a while since I looked...
And FC, make sure you get your assessment sorted first so you don't have to repeat, then go ride the wheels off it1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

duaneage's Honda R/R is much bigger than stock!
No room for igniter. I also had to remove the fuse holder.
Guess it's time to make an underseat electronics tray .
Besides that, it ran great and the voltage stayed under 15v. I recommend a duaneage Honda R/R .
I'm feeling pretty good today. So I'll share some more.
Pink! Well... It's hardly pink. I'd say peach .
And black... It's the guide coat. I will start wet sanding tomorrow.

In case you guys missed what I said, I will be ditching the side covers and relocating the electronics. The side covers just looked terrible with the seat. They did not line up at all! So with that said, the side covers are for sale.
Tim Tom, I know that you love a cafe bike where you can see right through the frame
It would also make the bike look lighter and cooler .Last edited by Guest; 05-10-2011, 07:27 PM.

Good choice on the covers, they're just not right with that seat pan.1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

Moving the electrics isn't hard at all actually, and you'll probably only need to adjust the length of the battery leads and starter leads depending where you put them.1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

The starter solenoid will be in front near the gas tank so that I won't have to do anything with the starter wire. I will only have to make a longer positive battery cable.
The R/R will be in the rear so that the ground wire can reach the battery's negative terminal.
But again, it's another project for later as, right now, my igniter is on the other side of the electronics plate . Hey, it works!Last edited by Guest; 05-10-2011, 11:11 PM.

Well, my bike starts right up after .1 second of pushing the starter button so I should be fine
I will get it this summer.
Save space and less weight. Thanks Pete!

I was really thinking about putting a GS400/425 engine in my frame but it's pretty hard to find... If I do find one, I will.

By all reports those A123 cells are pretty amazing and you won't have to worry about a new battery for a while. They use those to power electric bikes and things as well apparently...1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie
