Finally after far to long SHE RUNS!!!!Took a bit of cranking with the new AGM battery and and trying to bump start it down the hill here.It started with the electric while we where taking a break pushing it back up the hillFeels good to hear it after so long.Do have an issue with the tach,it won't read anything over 2000 RPM.If it doesn't fix itself I guess it's a trip into it's guts.Electronic so it's not a cable issueInsurance goes on tomorrow (Friday) and hopefully I will get to ride soon instead of talking about it!

Thanks Pete it's great to be on the road again!Runs real sweet to.Had some "issues" but nothing serious. The new chain really makes a big improvement on smoothness.Plugged in the heated vest this morning and the new stator kept right up to it.I'm even more happy with it now!

Where at Kenco to pick up a darker flip screen I ordered for the EXO500 .The wife asked if Ken could get the K&S repro signals I've had my eye on at Part N' More. The answer is yes he can at a very good price toSaves us a TON of hassles.Thirty plus years of UV does a number on the rubber pieces on them.Doubt I could find a a used set in any decent condition for less.

These J&S repro's really are quite good, slotted right into the OEM spots and the wires where long enough to fit.Happy we could get them.Have the fronts to,just have to wait for the next payday to get them

Have had a small oil leak for a while, just a few drips every ride.Till I got it back on the road,it started dripping a lot more(by my standards).I thought it was the gear indicator sensor. No it turned out to be the clutch push rod seal.Looked it up in the Parts Outlaw fiche and said to my self "That's what that thing is".Searched a bit and found it,fortunately it was better than the one in the bike.Put it in and when for a good tear(by my standards) with a friend. Not one drop

The old seal I put in leaked as bad as the one in the bike.Ordered a new one from the closest stealership, wasn't even to badly priced.Thought I might need a new stator cover gasket to as I have a leak there to.Looked at bottom bolt to see it wasn't clamping down Pull it out and it's WAY to longSlipped a shorter one in,hoping my leaks are done.

A lesson on why you need to take brake parts apart and clean them.My rear brake was coming on without me pushing the pedal.Wasn't obvious what was happening at first but it was gradually it got worse,to the point I couldn't push the bike myself.Could go back a bit later and all would be good.Took off the MC and once I removed the reservoir port I seen the problem.A blob of stuff was sitting over the return port.It was fluid enough to clog it intermittentlyThe circlip on that MC was to rusted to come out so I pulled one out of the stash, took it apart and put it in the ultrasonic for a cycle.Got my instrument glass from Joe Whellan toOn oil leaks either.
