Did a valve adjust.Tried it the way it says in the manual,it's WAY better than what I was doing.I forgot to post it here but I took the instrument pod off,got all the guts out.Fiddled with the tach and it works now.Putting it back together I did this
I did the same to mine....but I just got a piece of plexiglass from HomeDepot cut it to size and it's all good once again

Are you doing a restoration project of some kind on a GS? Let everyone see what you are doing by posting the details here.

Under the ride I should NOT have tried todayFrom front to back:

My first clue I should not have been trying to ride was scrapping frost off my seat. The second was the bike that always starts up real nice didn't,had a heck of a time keeping her lit.The third was me lying on my back after going over the cattle guard(there in a vain attempt to keep deer out of the park)watching my bike slide down the driveway. It was time for a repaint anyway as the red and black had developed a bad case of lumpy paintBike commuting has ended for the year

Ouch Greg, that sucks! Still, at least you have the incentive for that new paint now

Frost on the seat would send me scrambling for the truck keys.
              Tough luck, Greg.
I am assuming the deer have the cattle guard solved?

My wife had plans for the day with the truck, she was expecting me in to.My car is having issues so that was out. It's the time of year here when if it's clear the temps go past freezing especially at 4 am when I head to work.I know that but thought it would be OK.
Yeah the giant forest rats have figured ways past the guard

Well she's back to running ratHad most of the bodywork off but it seems like I'm just to into the GPz to do the repaint now.The plan now is to get the GPz finished and ride-able then get to the GS.Was just missing to much riding weather.
