Hey SV. You might check at an electrical supply store if you have on in your area. See if they have a molex connector to match. I did this on my rebuild and got them a lot cheaper.

It looks like I'm not going to need a new harness but as the connector seems to not be cooperating I've decided to get a new one http://www.ebay.ca/itm/140780316929?...e=STRK:null:IT .To keep things moving I will get the bodywok ready for paint, again

Here's the damage to the harness.Doesn't look bad but lots of the wires have had they're insulation melted together. Not to sure I trust them.Might be "new" harness time?

Sorry about the melt down SV! That's such kick in the gut. I used these guys for wire when I was redoing my harness. They are a really good company and took great care of me.

Click on supplies and they have any kind of wire you would need. I used it to stick with the stock color wire. They sell it by the foot with a 10 ft minimum order.

OK unwrapped the harness, ground wire is melted up to where it 3 ground wires combine into 1.The rest of the wires look pretty much good but not sure I trust them.

Yeah that's the plan for the weekend.Mind you that might not happen as it looks like Yeller needs a stator swap and there's other things I need to get done to.

Now you'll need to peel back the covering and inspect the harness side of the wiring loom for damage. Thankfully that wire only goes to the horn.

So when I took it apart I found most of the wires were intact.Wasn't till me and Kelly took it to some better lit area we noticed the horn wire was damaged.Must have grounded out on the signal switch above it.Must of moved it just rightMay have one locally but may shout out for one if it doesn't pan out.

Suspect the culprit might be in here as it seems to be burned the worst.

If the $$ where available I'd just get another one

This is where I touched the wire.Stopped the burn anyway
Anything I should be on the look out for when I take it apart?Must be a not all the time thing as I had the battery hooked up for some time before this happened.

Never fear, we've fixed worse Via remote control before...
I will .Will have to wait till Friday at the earliest though.10hr's in the heat at work leave me no energy to deal this after.Top row of the big connector the steering neck.Far right in the first pic,the one closest to the frame.Actually it would be the top sitting normally.Feeling pretty down right now with other stuff going on here to

Did up a plate to mount the 83 750 box to.

Then did just that.Have to wrap the wires and should really have made then shorter.Realised today if this works I should be able to fire her up.Yeah I put the carbs back in to.Leaves me with only a few thing left to do.Big one being painting the "tins".With the disaster the lacquer turned out to be I'm taking Dale's(rustybronco)advice and getting some 2 part paint. No access to the booth I sprayed Yellers in
