Pete I forgot he was going to be here, but I really don't know what to look for anyways haha.
Feels great, handles great other than being a little awkward at parking lot speed. We even rode about 30 miles on the interstate and it felt great! We've had a little battle with dads ironhead though. It's all good, think we got it straightened out. We are going to head home pretty early tomorrow.
Wanted to leave you guys with this picture of Warren jr's knucklehead chopper... I saw it in person earlier this year at the Dixie roundup and it has been a bit of inspiration for my build:

Oh yeah I forgot to mention the frame has been thoroughly strength tested haha. My friends driveway is super steep so I tried hitting it at an angle and wound up running off the side, ramped a railroad tie, and landed safely in some bushes with nothing bent or broken hahaha
Also the bushes are ok.

Awesome stuff MLC, glad to hear you're enjoying her.. and yeah interesting testing there! Haha
Not sure when you'll see this or anything but if Rich is still around I believe he'll be hanging out at the Do The Ton stand or stall or whatever it is... I believe I saw G25 somewhere if that means anything... of course you don't have to go look for him either...1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

Ha I think it was more likely the 32 year old generator... only thing he hasn't replaced on the bike... tested good a while back, so he didn't replace it. The guy that did the work on the bike for him didn't replace the original wiring harness, so I'm going to wire it up from scratch with new wire for him... 30+ year old wires just have too much resistance in them and will eventually burn something up.
He also said to tell all the suzuki guys that the american made bike lost this round, but will be back! haha

Hahaha nice one! Glad to see he's got a sense of humour... he'll need it more with the American Iron vs. the Suzuki's... hahahaha1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

Overall I'm really impressed with how my bike handled 400 miles this weekend....especially since I was still working on a few things friday morning when I woke up haha.
The fender has a nice crack in it from flexing from the weight of me and my pack, so that's the first thing I'll need to work on. Then I'll get the smaller sportster tank finished and sealed up. I'll probably make a shorter sissy bar for the daily commute, and then I'll paint it up nice and see if I can make bike of the month...
