Ugh... My stupid friend didn't sign out of his Youtube account .
Anyways, did you notice that the starter is working pretty hard to turn crank the engine over? I will charge the battery.
Again, all 4 plugs have nice spark, wet and smells of gasoline after cranking, good compression.
So here's my plan. Charge the battery and then adjust the valves. See if that does anything .
EDIT: ****! I ordered the blade style instead of tappet styleLast edited by Guest; 07-15-2011, 05:49 AM.

Don't waste your money on SAE feeler gauges that have metric equivalents. Get dedicated metric feeler gauges and be done with it. I have been adjusting valves using feeler gauges since (well, longer than you have been breathing) and there is no comparison, especially on a (relatively) high performance and high revving engine.
Do it right, do it once. And on this one, this is not JMHO; anyone who has done lots of valve adjustments (especially if you have done both SAE and metric like I have) knows metric is the only way to go for a metric engine. They are exactly correct, i.e. 0.005 mm, just as SAE are exact, i.e. 0.035 in.

The date was a success!
Update with the bike.
Got a 15T 630 sprocket (right) from 7981GS. Thanks!
Got the chain on. Still need a sprocket nut and lock washer.
Battery charged and now reads 13.3v.
Bought some Superbike grips from the shop that charged my battery (A Harley Davidson repair shop). Good guys they are.
The chain again...
The bike is now complete. Just need to fix the issues...

I have been thinking about making a catch can for the crankcase breather hose but I decided to just use filters.
I ordered these cheap crankcase breather filters. I don't even think these are necessary. But it's better than having a hole that leads to no where on the top of the engine .
A mushroom.

And a cone.
I couldn't decide which one I wanted to use so I got both .
Only $0.09 each with a combined shipping of $1.99. This is the same stuff I use on my car haha! It looks kinda ugly though .
EDIT: The above eBay items DO NOT add horsepower. LMAO!!!

Oh no! I think my timing is off. Someone please confirm....
I was going to adjust my valves today.
I rotated the engine until I aligned the T mark.
Then I look up at the camshafts. This is the exhaust cam shaft.
And this is the intake camshaft.
The camshaft sprockets.
So is my timing off?
