    Hi FC,
spent a wet afternoon reading all 52 pages of your thread.Good Stuff. The Bike the Job and the good support from GSR members.I have an 83 EZ 1100 that requires a big tidy up too.Gyro has just finished building me a hotrod 78 1000 EC,so now I can put some money into the EZ.Hopefully I can run a thread too.I have the photobucket account running, just need the computer geek to do the rest.Bikecliff was good but I got lost.Anyway hope you're riding that bike to work soon before it gets too cold.Cheers .Mark.
P.S My first big suk (1000G) I did 66,000 kms in 2 years.Bugs in ya eyes.

Gotcha! Speaking of the GF, haven't seen her ever since I couldn't get the bike to start. And it was all because I was out of gas. Whatever.

I should have the correct right hand control on my way soon thanks to sschering. My brand new helmet should be here tomorrow according to FedEx's ETA. My chain guard should be here this Friday thanks to JimmyD. And I got horns on the way from Baatfam.

Exciting stuff! Seriously... Nearly a COMPLETE bike.

Makes sense. That's why there's two holes for the throttle cables. Any idea which bike it came off of? The wires bolt right into the wiring harness.

I'm not sure how long they are. I'll check later.

Bah! Don't care if it's faded or not. As long is it's intact, uncut wires, and if it's the same!

Do you mind sending me pictures? You got my email.

You can take a look at this thread as well.

    Aha! Mine is NOT stock.

    Look at this.

Notice that it is much wider than mine, has a red switch, and bigger start button. It also appears to be plastic. Does anyone have one for me?

    It's raining today too. Stupid!

Here is a pic of my right hand controls. It's the only pic I have on file. I can take more pics if needed. My right hand controls are also metal while my left side is plastic. Should it be like that?

    New throttle cable.

    Old throttle cable.

Removed old cable and tried to put the new one in but guess what? The nut is too big!

It will not fit into this hole!

You can see the difference in the nuts.

The length is the same and the other end is the same.

This is the one I bought.

So, this brings me to another question. Is my right hand controls from a different model? Or did the seller send me the wrong cable?
