I would love to ride there but I haven't fixed this electrical problem yet. Perhaps after a few paychecks from the job

OK. Good stuff. If I get there a little early, I guess I'll just sit in the car for a little bit . Oh yeah, it's a 30 min drive to get there. Kinda far... But whatever.

If he asks you about your experience then yes mention it to show your breadth of knowledge and how you aren't afraid to learn new things. But otherwise no.

Good job, good luck, and do us one thing? Be 15 minutes early for the interview; any later or even earlier and you won't make that great of an impression. Course, you already knew that though.

Hehe. Well, I don't understand why someone painted the inside of the engine but ummm.... yeah .

Brand new clutch cable (top) installed.

I ordered a throttle cable as well.

The throttle grip does not snap back into position. Instead, it slowly goes back. It's supposed to snap back right? I checked the cable and it's bent at places. Or maybe it's the springs on the carbs? We'll find out...

Alright guys. I have some good news for you, me, and the bike. I applied at Firestone. Two days later, I got a call back saying that they were very interested in me to become an entry level tech at their shop. 12 people sent their application but he chose only 2. This is awesome! It must have been because of my awesome cover letter, resume, and my awards . Only $12 an hour but we all gotta start somewhere, eh?

Wait I shouldn't be celebrating yet...

So... Interview is on Monday, August 22nd at 9 AM. I am going to show him my portfolio (filled with awards, career stuff, etc.) then my sparkplug notebook. Do you guys know what that is? Do I need to mention my bikes that I fixed or not?

    Wish me luck!

Oil drained. This is the Rotella 15w-40 after like 50 miles.

    Clutch.

    Clutch springs removed.

Aha! There's the problem. The tab washer was not bent over the clutch hub nut therefore the clutch hub nut is loose.

Tightened and locked with tab washer.

Clutch plates appear to be in good condition.

What's up with this gold paint inside the engine under the clutch cover? It scratches off easily and I saw remnants of gold flakes in the oil I drained.

Filled it up with 15w-40 Rotella oil again. Started the bike and let it warm up. No more clutch rattle .

Superbike mirrors purchased. I should also have a clutch perch assembly and right mirror mount on the way soon as well. Let's get them mirrors up!

    I'll post the pics anyways.

This chain is brand new and SUPER HEAVY! Wow lol. I guess that's a 630 for you .

Awesome. My chain got here today. Brand new in the box. Grease is still on it and the master link with o-rings is still wrapped up. On the box is a price tag that says $111. Wow I got a good deal! Didn't realize chains cost that much. I will do a 530 chain conversion whenever these wear out.

I did not install the chain yet. No point in doing so until I receive my front sprocket.

I also received my new riding boots. Sidi Vertebra's... Very nice boots. Now what to do with my old, torn up Sidi's? Bought a new helmet as well. Should be here this next Tuesday. Crashing is expensive .

The bike runs too good for it not to be ridden. And since I can't ride on the street (besides the boring neighborhood), it might as well be on the track. And lights are not necessary! But I'll have to check if funds will allow for this...

No pics for today unless you want to see a chain out of the box.

Bought another gallon of Rotella oil. Have a valve cover gasket on the way. I will drain the old oil and filter and take a look at the clutch and hopefully fix the clutch rattle.

But for now, I need to check my wiring harness. I'm finally going to put my multimeter to use!

Sounds perfect, wish my bike charged like that. Had to get a jump just the other day after it stalled 2 miles from home. I can only do about a dozen starts before I need to hook it up to the trickle charger. Not enough of a problem to buy a new Stator yet.
