Today was the official graduation. Got my diploma book and various awards .
Back on topic, the rear wheel.
Paint stripper doing it's work. IMO, the can is much easier than brushing it on.
Masked.
And after paint and polish.
I have a REALLY sore back from sitting hunched over these rims for like 4 hours! So I'll probably put them on the bike tomorrow.

Definitely lookin' better FC, and yeah, I remember the sore back after doing the wheels...
I did the wire wheel on the drill (ouch), followed by sanding the bits I couldn't reach with the drill (ouch ouch), followed by a good clean and spraying POR 15 metal ready into all the nooks and crannies (ouch), followed by two coats of *brushed* on POR 15 Blackcote (ouch ouch ouch). My back was not happy1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

This wasn't the first time I painted wheels though. Remember the GS450? I had the same pains after I finished that one...

I got some stuff to ship today. And two of them are quite heavy. I hope it won't give me more pains . To the people that have waiting for their parts, sorry for the long wait. I've been waiting for an eBay buyer to pay for his parts that he won about a week ago so that I would make only one trip to the post office. But I've finally realized how selfish that was of me . They will be shipped out today!Last edited by Guest; 06-21-2011, 01:57 PM.

It took one whole day to peel off that truck bedliner and then 8 hours to finish up both rims. Maybe I have too much time...
I'm working on the engine. As you can see I listed a few stuff for sale. Hoping to get the engine at least by the end of July. Donations would help LOL!
Just kidding. But I'm over here running around with a lawn mower asking random people if I can cut their grass for between $10-$30, depending how big their lawn is. Most of them just slam the door on me . Maybe I'll do a car wash now or ummm... Make lemonade!

OK, back on topic. My clutch perch got here a few days ago. Mounted it up but the lever is a bit too long. Came off of a 1978 GS1000 anyways. I'll get a new lever later...
So far, I have spent $509 total on this project. But I have sold $272 worth of parts. So $509 - $272 = $237. That basically means that I have spent only $237.
I have $210 in my pocket. Got a few parts on eBay that will sell soon and a few parts listed here as well. If everything I have listed sells, I will have about $420 which is enough to get my engine! Come on.... Buy my stuff .
