.
Valves have not been adjusted yet. However, I am focusing on the cosmetic stuff now. I have the front end torn down for polishing and brake rebuilding. I am not sure if it would be a good time to adjust the valves?

PERFECT time to adjust the valves.
One of the requirements before adjusting the valves is to assure that the engine has not been run for at least 8 hours.
By the way, most of us tend to make sure the bike runs well before spending the time and money on cosmetics.

I agree with Steve about being the perfect time to do the valves. I'd take him up on his offer.Ed

Just need appropriate coordinates in the space-time continuum.
