I want a 76 550 done up in the stock brown color scheme. This was my 1st street bike that I bought when I was 15.
I have to update my profile, I sold the 900F a couple of months ago. That was my bike of choice for a long time. I have owned 3 1100F'S and 3 900F'S.
I have always wanted a Wes Cooley, and now that I have one, I have left the F's behind.

I rode all the F models, had an '80 750F. My friend had a 900F and I've ridden and always lusted after a nice 1100F. That was the first bike I ever did 135mph on.
I, too, have always wanted a Wes Cooley, so I don't feel like I've "down-graded" at all..in fact, the Suzuki is every bit the bike the 900F was and a little more. I still like em, though.1979 GS1000S,

I did see the ones on Ebay. I have purchased bikes over the internet and been happy with it. But, I have also been screwed!!
Years ago I bought an 1100F on ebay, 3k miles away. Had it shipped and put it aside for awhile. When I finally got to tinker with it, I realized it was a 900F engine.
Had a go around with the previous owner who insisted he had no idea. I got something out of him, but it was a bad deal.
So, if I can buy local, I do.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
