Also remember OP, that when you wring out the Uni's, you're also wringing out the oil they are sprayed with.

Yo MLC! Any updates on the beast at all or are you having too much fun ridin' the wheels off it?

Just been riding it mostly. Replaced the intake manifolds and o-rings and fixed the massive oil leak from the drain plug. Flipped the bars over and switched out for a hair over 2 gallons of capacity from a stock sportster tank:

Cool, that thing still looks like a hoot!

Hadn't seen anything from you for a while so figured I should make sure you're still alive

I see you've got the front mudguard on again too... is that a practical thing for weather protection or whatever or have you put it back on for some bracing?

              Yeah for weather protection!

On a bad note, I think my ignition module started taking a crap on the ride this morning... intermittent loss of one cylinder on the way to work made for a fun ride... I'll go through the connections and make sure nothing is loose, but I have a feeling the problem resides in the little magic box. Oh well may be time to test out the HEI conversion!

I found these guys years ago, they make a complete electronic ignition system but it looks like the 450 system is being reworked right now, don't know anything about quality or service on them though. http://www.newtronic.co.uk/newtronic/system/index.html
Might want to shoot them an email to see about availability

                  Cool man thanks!

I will probably try the HEI conversion first though since I promised Pete I would get to it one day, and it shouldn't cost me more than $50!

I should probably look that up, seems like it's one of those mods that inevitably have to be made. Love the bike too by the way, where did you mount the electronics? looks like the battery is right up against the back of the case is that right? I saw a guy who mounted it all to the bottom of the swingarm, not sure about the wisdom of that though.

Interesting on the ignition, never seen that one before!

Have a read through the ignition thread in my sig. and you'll see the pain us 450 guys can have if you want a good ignition alternative.

MLC, I currently have the HEI on hold due to frustration while I try out the Dynatek DS3-3C, turns out it's almost a straight bolt in even though it's not offically supported as a 450 setup yet.

The Dynatek guys are great and have helped me work out it should go, so I'm just waiting for some time to be able to finish testing.

That's cool about dynatek, was wondering about their system. Just got back in from drying out everything that got soaked in the garage. Maybe i should patch the roof before I spend anymore on the bike. Nah....
