Not much to show for today.

I cleaned and checked the chain guides this morning. They look to be in nice shape.

Hit a good deal on Ebay for a OEM NOS clutch cable.
    $12.99 including shipping!

going to take the lower engine case to work with me tomorrow and get started washing it up.

Working out a few other 'deals' which I'll post up if they come about.

Very economical fix. The crank and cams didnt cost me anything so Dale has the stuff just for the cost of shipping...happy days ahead.

It cost $55.01 to ship the crank and both cams from Texas using USPS parcel post. That's pretty darn cheap if you ask me.

I just got a call from Chuck. My crank and cams are now in route. The cams should arrive Tuesday and the crank on Wednesday. Guess I'd better get started cleaning up those cases!

Chuck! It will be just fine. You don't need to spend all your free time wrapping it up.

Unless they intentionally drop it, that crankshaft should survive just fine.

Probably close to 3/4 to 1 inch of cardboard all the way around and 2 inches thick on the ends..sound good??

Chuck, The packeage looked like overkill before you added those two extra wraps. I'm positive it's going to survive the trip now.

I've been making a cabinet for the down stairs bathroom, trying to finish it before the weekend just so I'd have a bit of extra time to spend cleaning up those cases and get the one off to be welded.

Yes indeed! She needs a nice new crank, so you can keep making her into a nice new bike
