81 550 its comin along. what do yall think

so ive been steady workin on my gs and i thought id put it up here in its current form and see what yall think.
it looked like this til about a week ago

then i was walking through the garage with an angle grinder and tripped
    oops

so i patched it back up,made a seat and decided to run a jockey shifter with a hand clutch
put some springs in so it doesnt ghost shift when i hit bumps

    all buttoned up

but my tank was too long and was poking me in the stomach so i did what anyone with half a brain would do and hit it with a ball peen hammer
well that didnt work either so i cut my fuel gage out tagged it and scrapped it

    lemme know what yall think

Why did you waste any time on it?
Wouldn't it have saved time/effort to just throw it in a dumpster?
              Same outcome.

Although I don't understand how you can say you don't give a crap what we say but still want our opinions? Normally, that means you are interested in hearing what we think in order to maybe adjust your approach. But I'm not one to lie so here goes.

Honestly Cody, that's going to be one helluva hard ride that I wouldn't want to do any kind of miles on. You don't have your location in your profile so I have no clue where you live but to me, that shifter looks like you will find yourself in a wreck faster than you can blink an eye; especially if you miss a shift or wrench on it just the wrong way. Although the tank had a crappy color and needed repainting, it had a decent size to it so unless you put roughly the same back on your gas mileage will suck like crazy. I assume this bike is for running the mile or two to a bar and back home?

Either way, good luck with the build. Hope it works for you.

I'm not sure about the gas tank, it seems like the gas might fall out those square holes.

But if you cut a little more metal away and you will have a nice engine stand.

Perhaps you should have practiced your "craft" on that silly Harley first.

No, I have an opinion, too, but am civil enough to keep it to myself, in spite of being invited to do otherwise.

I was just thinking of the awkwardness of reaching under your butt at every stop to handle the clutch and shifting chores.
Too many times (virtually ALL the time), stopping is something that I prefer to do with BOTH hands on the bars.

Stopping on an uphill and trying to take off would be worth the price of the ticket to watch the show, though.
