It's also supposed to be impervious to fuel.

Just considering it for the tank.

That gold leaf does look excellent though...

    Got me thinking.

Took a couple step by step pics.

First brush on the sizing. Its clear so I tinted it with a touch of yellow so I could see what I was doing. Then let it dry for a bit.

Next put your leaf down and press down.

Use a soft make up brush and brush away the leaf. I started pinstriping the tank while waiting for the tail piece to dry a bit.

And stripe the heck out of it.

Holly crap! That looks freaking amazing! Btw have any design ideas for just using pin stripe tape on the top of my tank?

So I think the next area I want to tackle is the front brake calipers. When I got the bike it was an L model with the leading axle forks. I have swapped on what I believe to be a set of forks from a 78-79 model non leading axle. Figured out the year because the triple trees that came with them had the stem size of the 78-79. Anyway they have the mounts for dual calipers, and the ones I have from the leading axle don't quite mount up. Top bolt lines up but would have to make a bracket for the bottom bolt because the caliper hits the disc before it gets to the hole do to the wheel being moved back to the center of the fork.

So... Wondering if I should/can just make an adaptor plate for the calipers I have. or should I try to find the right calipers. OR put newer brakes on if I have to make a plate anyway?

Mate that pinstriping is fantastic, awesome work!

As for the calipers, will the Salty Monk brackets fit? That would be a nice upgrade...

I'll have to check into that. What bikes were they for?
