Nice work on the cover. Detailed blog is way cool too. Great to see you make what you have work....need to do some of that on my valve cover bolts. Cheers

Thanks, it's never going to be earth shattering. I just hope that some of the stuff might be of use to others!

The Tuesday before last I took some time to sync the carbs,on OldBike. Of course doing this spawned a whole 'nother set of things to be addressed and looked at.
It's be cool if some of you could check out the video and let me know if carbs seem good now.

No real pictures from the latest update but there are a lot of videos including one of me riding the bike still looking for suggestion on the idling issue I do think I might have found a new lead to check out.

I had that issue and replaced the plugs. Problem solved for me.
Could be a few things:
1) Fouled/burned plugs.
2) Dying coils.
3) Gremlins.
I'm sure there are at least 100 other posibilities, but if it were me I'd start by seeing what's going on with the plugs.

I'll check that when I get home! The plugs are new from around the same time I got the battery but that doesn't mean that they aren't fouled. I like you said I have a feeling there are about a hundred things that could be causing it.

Changed the oil and found that the right cylinder was smoking an interesting development.

Got another blog update for those who are interested :-)
This is about my project bike I acquired in fall of 2010. It's not a blog where you are going to see top dollar investments in unobtanium parts or quantum leaps in progress in each new post. I'm just a regular guy trying to scratch his itch to tinker and make a motorcycle better in the process without breaking the bank.
