funny you looked them up! They look probabbly just as bad as mine are. The shipping cost I think would be way to expensive. I noticed it said gs550...mine is a 750. But thanks for posting the pics. Im moving on slowly but surely. I will post more pics as soon as some progress can be seen.
thanks!

update
I decided it was going to be easier and cheaper to replace the engine. I found one and ordered it. I also ordered from a fellow gs member the front master cylinder and caliper rebuilt and the seals to rebuild the rear m/c and caliper.
When the parts finally arrive work will finally begin. Its going to take a while though to get the parts all the way down to honduras. but I am looking forward!

engine
Hi,
I got a 1982 gs750 engine with the Cylinder compression #1-140, #2-140, #3-135 & #4-138.
I got it for a couple of hundred with the startor included. The expensive part will be the shipping! Im liking the v&h exhaust 4-1 but thats going to cost me a good coin too...
Im excited to make this bike run again after like 20+ years

As mentioned before with the Bratstyle bikes... you can do a lot to make it cool without cutting or welding. That is the look I am going for with my GS build.
These may give you some ideas... most are "thumbnails" that you can click on to see a larger Picture.

Hi, guys.
I think I have an idea of what I want.
I want to use the rear cowl and tail light assembly but move it forward, cutting the frame just a bit. Lower the front end and use clip on straight bars. I want a custom made cafe style seat. And I want to keep the factory blue color.
I also want to see if I can afford the v&h pipes 4-1 if someone has one and wants to part with it at a good price I might be interested!
