    1981 gs1100e prostreet

    Im new here and just wanted to post my restoration of my gs, Here is a breif rundown and a few pics to get started with , The engine will be 1327cc, gsxr head, falicon crank, katana rods, r&d transmission, the bike is 6 over with a macintosh swinger, has 2001 tl1000 wheels 200/55/17 rear which Iam currently doin the polish work on, front end is off a 92 gsxr1100 osd fork, has new corbin gunfighter saddle, more to come later

        Sky, looks like a great start to a FAST bike.
        I will certainly be following your build.
        Curious as the why so long [6"] on the swinger. Strictly straight line use?

            the lenght of the swinger with hopefully the hp i will get from the engine will be much needed, as this is my second 1100e build, the first one was six over as well and really didnt have many handling issues at all, Im really not trying to curve with the bike anyway, as far as straight line use only, I doubt it will ever see the track, maybe a few stop lights between them, or some interstate action, ALSO I beleive in order to do a six inch wide rear wheel you must have a longer swing arm?? stock length will only afford you to have a 5.5 wide wheel, is correct to my knollage. thank you for the nice comment on my machine.

                  sorry for no pics at the moment, however im in the middle of the wheels and fork trees being polished, whheew, allot of work for that i will post some pics tomorow, thanks guys for following and subscribing!! I may infact need some opinions in the future!!

                    ok im at the point of no return i think, i just got my dual headlights in, which means the gage cluster has to go, so does anyone know, i want to use a dakota digital speedo, and tach, what will be involved to do this on the hook up installation portion of it??

                            Can't say on the Dakota... How about an Acewell? Memebers on another custom forum I belong to love them.
                            If you host you pics on Photobucket, ficker, or I use Webshots. You can load several of them on a post here. And at a decent size, instead of the thumbnails...
