Pulled the wheel today and mounted the new tire. Took it up to the bike shop to be balanced though.

Should have new handle bars on thursday and a bunch of new stuff for it after Christmas (I hope). Also pulled off a bunch of junk in prep for new things as well as paint.
I know not much progress right now. But I should have a jet kit, filters, exhaust, exhaust wrap here soon. After that will be a 2" drop and a new seat

transfered everything over.
gonna pull all the turn signals off and remove all the wiring. Also gonna replace all the seals in the front forks. the left side fork is leaking pretty good.

Found one of the problems I was having. The float needle is sticking pretty bad on one of the carbs.
Also two of the pilot screws are stuck so I have them soaking in some MP-50 as well as two of the screws on piece that holds all the carbs together.
I did have two small springs and a small washer fall out of the carbs and im not sure where they came from. Im sure ill figure it out as im going along though.
Looks like one of the POs tried to re jet the carbs but only did some of the stuff.
Edit: well im gonna have to drill out the pilot screws and pilot jets so I packed everything up and gonna finish it tomorrow at the shop where I have my drill bits. Been fun working on them thoughLast edited by Guest; 03-15-2012, 08:26 PM.

Two carbs are done but the other two still need the pilot screws extracted. The PO did not use brass ones so these are super super hard to drill into. So tomorrow hopefully I'll get them drilled.
So close!!!

Got one of the other idle air screws out and that carb completely rebuilt and jetted
But the other refused to come out so I bought a "new" carb on here and it should be here in a few days.
Also started striping the tank down. I have 3 ideas of what to do paint wise but haven't made up my mind yet.
And I changed the diff fluid. Nasty stuff in there
